FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Another domino has fallen with one of the New England Patriots' most surprising trades in Bill Belichick's tenure.
With Friday's coin flip between the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders to break a tie on which team would pick first in the draft's initial round, it is now official: The selection the Patriots received from San Francisco in the Oct. 31 trade for Jimmy Garoppolo will be the 43rd overall pick in the draft (11th selection of the second round). Garoppolo had originally been selected 62nd overall in the 2014 draft.
