Aaron Hernandez trial: No verdict after 35 hours of jury deliberation

FALL RIVER -- Approximately thirty-five hours of deliberation in the murder trial against Aaron Hernandez is complete, and the jury has not reached a verdict.

Tuesday came and went with no resolution, as the jury deliberated from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. They will return Wednesday at 9 a.m.

The deliberations have lasted an unusually long time, even in comparison to other high-profile murder cases. But when you consider the length of the trial -- testimony lasted about nine weeks -- this shouldn't be too big of a surprise.
