FOXBORO — When offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels left the Patriots to become the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, it was a foregone conclusion that things would be a bit different for the Patriots. This offseason, veteran coaches Joe Judge and Matt Patricia have moved to the offensive end. Both are the favorites to call offensive plays when the season opens in September.
But the changes on offense involve much more than just new coaches.
With McDaniels and 20 seasons of institutional knowledge gone, Bill Belichick has made wholesale changes to the offense.
