The New England Patriots wrapped up their preseason with a 20-10 loss to the Washington Commanders Sunday night.
Here is who caught our eye for better or worse upon live viewing.
Winner: QB Drake Maye. The rookie again looked confident in comfortable under center Sunday night, despite the situation around him actively working against him. Maye also had some misses of his own, but the rookie led an 11-play touchdown drive that featured a 3rd-and-14 scramble and two downfield conversions facing pressure.
For the second straight week, Maye’s best play was one that didn’t count.
