The last time the New England Patriots entered Thanksgiving at 2-8 or worse, Bill Clinton was in his first year as President, Pablo Escobar was still alive and well, and Meat Love’s I’d Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That) topped the charts. The year was 1993, and the Patriots under first-year head coach Bill Parcells and final-year owner James Orthwein sat at 1-9 heading into Turkey Day.
30 years later, they are again near the bottom of the NFL barrel with little reason to believe in a turnaround heading into the home stretch of the regular season.
