Last weekend, the Patriots got close to $7 million in cap space thanks to settling compensation grievances with Aaron Hernandez ($2.55 million) and Antonio Brown ($4 million).
This means the Patriots now have close to $8 million in salary cap space, which is quite a different picture from two weeks ago when the organization had less than $1 million to work with.
While the Patriots need to have close to $8 million in salary cap space just to do business over the course of the season, it’s still worth taking a look at which free agents are still available for the Patriots if they wanted to add a player or two before training camp.
