42 locks for the Commanders' 53-man roster

The Washington Commanders play the New England Patriots on Sunday in their final preseason game. Two days later, Washington and the other 31 NFL teams must trim their 90-man rosters to 53 players.

This weekend's games are bittersweet because, for some, they will never play football again. Others will look to impress their current team, while others enter the weekend knowing they are potentially auditioning for other NFL teams.

The Commanders made some roster moves this week, including trading for a kicker and, most surprisingly, trading 2022 first-round pick Jahan Dotson within the division to the Philadelphia Eagles.
