The preseason is in the books. Training camp, done and dusted. Now, it’s time for the New England Patriots to put the finishing touches on their first 53-man roster of the upcoming 2024 season.
By 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, they and the rest of the league needs to be under the NFL-mandated 53-man roster limit. This means that more than 1,000 players across the league will be out of a job — in some cases temporarily, in others permanently.
The Patriots already started the process of reducing their own roster on Monday. They had 89 players signed entering the week, and through a series of moves are now down to 75.
