The New England Patriots remain on track for the second overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft even after beating the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night. Despite improving to 3-10 on the year, they were able to stay square thanks to the tiebreaker advantage over the Arizona Cardinals, who themselves enjoyed a bye in Week 14.
And while said victory did eliminate the one-win cushion the Patriots have previously had, they still received some help over the weekend. Of the four four-win teams who played between Sunday and Monday, all of them ended up winning their respective games to improve to 5-8 on the year — creating some wiggle room between themselves and New England.
