The New England Patriots' chances of making the NFL playoffs for the second consecutive season took a hit Thursday night with a 24-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills at Gillette Stadium.
The Patriots entered this Week 13 matchup one game behind the Cincinnati Bengals and New York Jets for a wild card playoff spot in the AFC. The Jets did them a favor Sunday by losing to the Minnesota Vikings, but New England still sits in ninth place in the AFC standings and will stay there going into Week 14 if the Los Angeles Chargers beat the Las Vegas Raiders late Sunday afternoon.
