The New England Patriots made yet another move in reducing their roster from 80 on Monday, waiving second year defensive lineman Bill Murray, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Murray, 24, arrived to Foxborough as an undrafted rookie free agent in the spring of 2020. Though his rookie offseason was limited, Murray was able to make enough of an impression to stick to the Patriots practice squad throughout the season and to be signed to a futures contract this past January. The William & Mary product played well this preseason, registering a pair of sacks on Sunday night against the New York Giants, and contributing on kickoff and punt units as a gunner.
