2021 NFL free agency: Patriots sign defensive lineman Montravius Adams to reported 1-year, $2.5 million contract

The New England Patriots needed to upgrade their defensive line this offseason, and they continue to do just that. After already signing Davon Godchaux and Henry Anderson earlier in free agency, and also re-signing Deatrich Wise Jr. and Carl Davis, the Patriots have now also added interior lineman Montravius Adams.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Adams will join the Patriots on a one-year contract worth up to $2.5 million.

Adams originally arrived in the NFL as a third-round draft pick by the Green Bay Packers in 2017 and has since played in 45 regular season games as well as two playoff contests for the team.
