Defensive tackle Carl Davis will be staying in the New England Patriots’ plans for 2021.
The Patriots announced the re-signing of the impending free agent Monday evening in the hours after the NFL’s legal tampering period opened.
Davis, 29, had arrived in New England off the Jacksonville Jaguars’ practice squad last October. He recorded three tackles, including one for loss, over the course of three appearances before being placed on injured reserve at the close of November due to a concussion.
The Iowa Hawkeyes product remained on IR after being designated to return in the final weeks of the season.
