The Super Bowl is not even one week behind us, but teams will quickly turn their attention to the next date on their offseason calendars: the NFL scouting combine will start on Tuesday, February 26 at Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium. The event will be one of the first steps the New England Patriots will take in their quest to defend the world championship: don’t be surprised if some of the 338 players invited eventually find their way to Foxboro.
Of those 338, Alabama and Clemson lead the way with eleven players invited each. Ohio State — the former school for which soon-to-be Patriots defensive coordinator Greg Schiano worked in the same role for the past three years — comes in at number three with a total of ten prospects invited.
