The NFL’s waiver pickup deadline has come and gone and there have been multiple moves: the New England Patriots themselves picked up a pair of wide receivers and saw three of their own players get claimed. Furthermore a fourth player was lost despite making it through waivers unselected. Ergo, the following four men are no longer with the Patriots:
All four players were eligible to return to New England via the practice squad but none of them will be back.
The biggest name on the list is undoubtably Jones: the former second-round draft pick, who spent all of 2017 on injured reserve, was unable to earn a backup spot at cornerback thanks to the emergence of JC Jackson and Keion Crossen and was subsequently released.
