Over the course of the summer, cornerback established itself as arguably the most competitive position on the New England Patriots’ roster. Multiple players were fighting for spots on the team behind roster locks Stephon Gilmore, Eric Rowe and second-round rookie Duke Dawson. It now looks like three of the team’s offseason acquisitions have made the cut and will start 2018 on the team:
The Patriots added McCourty via trade earlier this offseason, invested a day three draft selection in Crossen, and signed Jackson as an undrafted rookie. Now, all three will compete for playing time on the Patriots’ 53-man roster.
