2016 NFL Free Agency: Nate Washington's Contract Details are Wicked Cheap

The New England Patriots certainly aren't banking on wide receiver Nate Washington to be a game changer in the offense- just look at his contract.

Washington signed a one-year contract for the veteran's minimum. He received a $60,000 signing bonus (which is peanuts) and has a $20,000 workout bonus. Signs point to Washington being a camp body that can compete for a spot, similar to how Brandon Gibson tried to win a spot last offseason.

The 6'1, 185 lbs receiver will cost the Patriots $680,000 in cap space this season if he makes the roster.
