10 Patriots minicamp observations: Mac Jones wings a 50-yard bomb and a major offensive line shift

FOXBOROUGH — The sun was up, the sky was blue, and almost all of the Patriots were back on the practice field for mandatory minicamp on Tuesday morning.

From a serious shakeup on the offensive line to Mac Jones flashing the deep ball, there was plenty to observe on the backfields at Gillette Stadium. Here are 10 things that stood out from the first day of required team activities this offseason:

1. Major o-line shuffle

When practice got rolling, Isaiah Wynn was no longer protecting Jones’ blindside.

The Patriots shifted the 2018 first-round to right tackle — where he’s never started a game in New England — and inserted Trent Brown on the left side.
