New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been at the center of the Deflategate controversy maelstrom this offseason, but he hasn't let all the noise affect his work in training camp.
Brady had a banner day in the Patriots' ninth training camp session on Saturday afternoon, going a perfect 7-for-7 in limited action during team drills. Likely Week 1-5 starter Jimmy Garoppolo received the majority of reps for the Pats under center.
Per NESN's Doug Kyed, "Brady was 2-for-2 with completions to running back Jonas Gray and tight end Jake Bequette in 7-on-7s and 5-for-5 — hooking up with tight ends Rob Gronkowski and Michael Hoomanawanui, running back Brandon Bolden and wide receivers Danny Amendola and Josh Boyce — in 11-on-11s."
In addition to his work from the pocket, Brady elicited a roar from the New England Patriots fans in attendance at the training camp session with a 60-yard touchdown run off a broken pass play.
