In an offseason full of them, we've got another NFL trade. This time, the New England Patriots are sending WR Brandin Cooks to the Los Angeles Rams. Per Adam Schefter, the Rams are getting a fourth-round pick and Cooks in exchange for the #23 overall pick and a 6th round selection.
Cooks spent only one year in New England after the Saints traded him to the Patriots. Schefter says this trade has been discussed for over a month. Cooks essentially replaces Sammy Watkins at WR for the Rams. He joins a WR corps that also features Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp, Josh Reynolds and Tavon Austin.

This move essentially eliminates the rumors of an Odell Beckham to the Rams trade. Schefter also says this ends the chances of the Patriots trading Rob Gronkowski.
The Patriots now have the #23 overall pick, #31 overall pick, #43 overall pick and #63 overall pick. They might not be done wheeling-and-dealing yet. Their WR depth chart currently features Chris Hogan, Julian Edelman, Phillip Dorsett, Kenny Britt, Malcolm Mitchell and Cordarrelle Patterson.
