The New England Patriots have acquired defensive back Eric Rowe from the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for offensive lineman Josh Kline, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport:

More details on the #Eagles/#Patriots trade: The 4th rounder in ’18 can become a 3rd based on Eric Rowe’s playtime in 2016 or 2017

Rowe, a second-round pick in the 2015 draft, played in all 16 games as a rookie last season (including five starts), and can play either cornerback or safety. He racked up 31 tackles and one interception last season.
Kline, who started 13 games last season, was expected to start at right guard for the Patriots this season, but was competing with Shaq Mason and Jonathan Cooper for the job.
However, Mason suffered a broken hand on Aug. 21 and Cooper is dealing with a foot injury, making Kline the presumptive starter. This deal would indicate that either Mason or Cooper is healthy enough to play in their season opener on Sunday against the Cardinals.
