New England Patriots star wideout Julian Edelman suffered a knee injury early in the first quarter of their 30-28 win over the Detroit Lions tonight, and the team fears he tore his right ACL, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Patriots suspect Julian Edelman tore his ACL, but do not definitely know, per source. MRI on Sunday to determine full extent of injury.

He was able to limp off the field before he was later carted to the locker room. The Patriots won't know the exact injury until he has that MRI on Sunday, but New England is certainly fearing the worst.

Edelman was a huge focal point before the injury, recording three catches for 52 yards on the two opening drives of the game. Obviously, New England's offense is much better with him healthy. He caught 98 passes for 1,106 yards and three touchdowns last season.
