The New England Patriots have signed Brian Hoyer to be the new back up to Tom Brady. Brian Hoyer played his first three seasons with the Patriots and now is headed back to New England. Hoyer was the starter for the 49ers at the beginning of the season but was benched and after the 49ers traded for Jimmy Garoppolo, Hoyer was looking for a new place to call home.

Hoyer has signed a three year deal with the Patriots. He is obviously only a back up to Tom Brady.
