New England has needed an upgrade to their pass rush, which Harrison - the Steelers' all-time sack leader - should provide immediately. It's unclear if he will play in Sunday's regular-season finale against the New York Jets or if he will make his debut for the Patriots in the playoffs.
Harrison has only appeared in five games this season, recording three tackles with one sack in limited snaps in those appearances.
