The New England Patriots have declined their $20 million option on star cornerback Darrelle Revis' contract making him a free agent, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
However, this doesn't mean the Patriots are done with Revis. They'd still like to re-sign him, and have reportedly asked Brandon Browner to restructure his deal so they can have the cap space to do so.
Schefter reported earlier today that the Jets are the Patriots' biggest competition for Revis, but plenty of other teams will throw a lot of money at him to try and lure him away.
