Patriots NT Vince Wilfork will remain with the team for at least the next season, with an option for the next two. After a tumultuous offseason that saw the player reportedly clear out his locker at the team practice facility, Wilfork has reached an agreement with Patriots management that will pay him up to $8m next year (with $3m guaranteed). The deal includes an option for the next two years, and it's believed the option can be exercised by the Patriots, but not the player.
Wilfork released a statement on Twitter shortly before ESPN's Adam Schefter made the contract details public:
