The New England Patriots are finalizing a trade for Tampa Bay LB Jonathan Casillas. Casillas, currently in his sixth year out of Wisconsin, has played in five games for the Bucs this year, starting three of them.
Casillas, 27, spent his first four seasons in New Orleans, where he helped the Saints win Super Bowl XLIV by recovering an onside kick in the third quarter. Casillas has made 15 starts so far in his NFL career.
New England sent a fifth-rounder to Tampa for Casillas, but also received Tampa's sixth-round pick in the deal.
