The Bills certainly made it interesting, but the Patriots used a big second half to escape Buffalo with an important divisional win.
Turning Point: This was an incredibly close game until the third quarter, when the Patriots pulled ahead 20-7 thanks to a 43-yard Tom Brady pass to WR Brian Tyms. It was Tyms' first career NFL touchdown.
Key Stat: 23-2 - Tom Brady has lost to the Buffalo Bills twice in his entire NFL career. It's hard to imagine Bills fans being very sad when he eventually hangs up his cleats.
Game MVP: No surprises here - Brady ran the show, going 27/37 with 361 passing yards, 4 TDs and no INTs. It was his second consecutive dominant performance after media reports that he was "in decline".
Missing In Action: Buffalo's running game failed to show up again, with no player rushing for more than 26 yards on the day. Whether it's Fred Jackson, Anthony Dixon or CJ Spiller, SOMEONE needs to step up.
What’s Next? The Patriots have a short week before hosting the New York Jets on Thursday night, but given how the Jets have looked lately they won't be too worried. The Bills stay in Buffalo to host Minnesota, who struggled today in a loss to Detroit.
