The New England Patriots dominated the regular season, but came up short in the Super Bowl losing 41-33 to the Philadelphia Eagles. New England showed that they still have a few chinks in their armor and what's a way to strengthen the armor? Remove or upgrade the chinks. Cyrus Jones, CB
Things haven't gone to plan with Cyrus Jones and it may be best for the Patriots and him to part ways. Jones was drafted in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, but has been a major disappointment. He has played in only 10 games, recording only seven tackles in two seasons. The Patriots may be able to trade the former second-rounder to a team willing to take a shot on him.

Shea McClellin, OLB
McClellin was a former first-round pick by the Bears in the 2012 NFL Draft. The Patriots signed him in 2016, but he has been a major bust. He didn't play in 2017 after the Patriots placed him on IR in early September with an undisclosed injury. In 2016, he played in 14 games but started only four. The Patriots may be able to trade the former first-rounder to a team willing to take a shot on him.

Chris Hogan, WR
Hogan battled through some injuries in 2017 which lead to him having only 34 receptions, 439 yards, and five touchdowns. When he was on the field, he was an important role in the offenses' vertical passing game. New England may decide to trade Hogan in this offseason, not due to his play, but rather the return of wide receivers Julian Edelman and Malcolm Mitchell who both missed the 2017 season with injuries. Mitchell was drafted in 2016 in the fourth round to be the Patriots vertical threat.
