The 2015 NFL Trade Deadline is less than 24 hours away, which means the New England Patriots' front office has a very small window if they want to get a deal done before Tuesday afternoon. With that in mind, here are 3 Patriots Trade Rumors You Need To Know Before The Deadline.
Deal For An Elite Lineman?
All indications are that the Cleveland Browns are about to enter a full-blown fire sale, and stud offensive linemen Joe Thomas and Alex Mack are on the block. Thomas would be a huge upgrade for the Patriots, and the team has been linked to him. San Francisco 49ers guard Alex Boone and tackle Joe Staley could both be on the block, reports CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora. The issue with Thomas, Mack and Staley is that their contracts might be too much for the Patriots to add, as the Patriots have limited cap space. Boone, however, could easily fit in the Pats' cap space. New England is often active at the deadline, and with injuries up front, the Patriots could swing a deal for a lineman.
Sean Smith Heading East?
The Patriots could use some corner help, and Smith is one of the best names on the market. He's been linked to New England, although they aren't the only team. Smith would be a home run addition, as he's a borderline No. 1 CB. Smith could cost a bit too much, as the Patriots likely won't want to give up more than a third before the deadline. If that's the case, Smith's teammate Marcus Cooper could head to New England instead.
Barkevious Mingo A Trade Target?
The Patriots reportedly like Mingo and he's reportedly on the block.

Mingo hasn't lived up to his first round status, but is on a cheap contract and has potential. Trading for Mingo would be a classic Patriots move and he'd probably turn into a dangerous defense weapon for New England.
