The New England Patriots are coming off a Super Bowl Championship. But even the defending champs have some overrated players. Don't worry, Tom Brady isn't one of them. Here are the three most overrated Patriots players in 2015.
LeGarrette Blount
Blount had a huge game against the Colts in the Conference Championship. But aside from that, Blount wasn't anything special. Bill Belichick is great at utilizing his players' strengths and hiding their weaknesses, which makes Blount look better. Ultimately, there isn't much of a difference between Blount and Jonas Gray. Don't be surprised if Gray ends up being the Patriots' go-to power back.
Rob Ninkovich
At 31, Ninkovich isn't quite the player he once was. He's a serviceable starter, but nothing special. He struggles getting to the QB. The Patriots signed Jabaal Sheard and spent several draft picks on pass rushers, in part to limit Ninkovich's snaps. That may end up making him more effective, but as of now, Ninkovich is best used as a run-stopper.
Jerod Mayo
Mayo has been a great linebacker in the past for New England, but he can't seem to stay healthy. He's missed major time each of the last two seasons and has looked average when healthy. He's still a great leader, but is a two-down LB going forward. He's still pretty good in run support, but is a liability in pass coverage.
