A six-day tour of the conference for Nevada showed once again that it’s a deeper and stronger Mountain West that’s on display for the 2021-22 season.
The Wolf Pack dropped its second straight home game on Monday night, losing 77-67 to Wyoming to complete a three-game, six-day run of competition. Monday’s game was a makeup of an earlier postponement.
The loss dropped Nevada to 8-7 overall and 2-2 in MW games. The Pack went 1-2 in its six-day spurt, winning on Saturday at Air Force.
The takeaways
Cold from the arc: Nevada hit only six of its 30 3-point attempts Monday (20 percent), with Kenan Blackshear (three 3s) and Grant Sherfield (two) accounting for five of the makes.
