ROSEVILLE, Calif. – The Nevada women’s golf team took second place at the Sacramento State Invitational on Tuesday at Sierra View Country Club.
The Wolf Pack edged third-place Santa Clara by one stroke and finished 18 shots behind San Francisco. The Dons were the only team in the field of 15 to compile three rounds under 300. Nevada finished with a three-round total of 907 (302-304-301).
Nevada freshman Chaithra Katamneni tied for fourth place, four strokes back, in the 80-player field.
Freshman Kaitlin Collom claimed eighth place.
Nevada defends its title at the Cowgirl Classic in Maricopa, Ariz.
