Women's basketball: Nevada's opener canceled due to COVID contact tracing protocols

The Nevada women's basketball team will have to wait at least one more day to play its season opener.

Due to COVID-19 contact tracing protocols, Friday’s women’s basketball game between San Francisco and Nevada at Lawlor Events Center was canceled. The game will not be rescheduled.

Nevada’s game on Saturday against NAIA school William Jessup is still scheduled to be played, as of Friday morning. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Lawlor Events Center.

Nevada coach Amanda Levens enters her fourth year at Nevada with the same staff as last season.

The Wolf Pack returns six players from last year's squad and has 10 newcomers to the program, including four transfers and six freshmen.
