Nevada ran into a hot Saint Mary's team and suffered its first loss of the season, 83-68, in women's basketball on Monday in Moraga, Calif.
Saint Mary's hit 29-of-55 from the field, for 53 percent. Nevada hit 24-of-68, for 35 percent. The Gaels also had a huge advantage on the boards, with 46 rebounds to 28 for the Wolf Pack.
Saint Mary's hit 5-for-11 from 3-point range, to 3-17 for Nevada.
Megan Ormiston had 18 points for the Wolf Pack in her second game since the NCAA ruled transfers are allowed to play this season; she also grabbed seven rebounds.
