Women's basketball: Nevada pulls away to down short-handed Sacramento State

Nia Alexander scored 18 points and Amaya West celebrated her birthday with 13 as Nevada rolled past a short-handed Sacramento State women's basketball team.

Nevada led the entire way and poured it on in the second half in beating Sacramento State, 62-53, on Sunday in women's basketball at Sacramento, giving the Wolf Pack the weekend sweep over the Hornets.

Nevada freshman Kenna Holt scored the first points of her Wolf Pack career on Sunday, in the second quarter, as the Wolf Pack improved to 3-0 while Sacramento State, which had just six players available, dropped to 0-4.
