Some timely free throws gave the Nevada women’s basketball team its second win of the season on Saturday.
With the Wolf Pack trailing by a single point with five seconds left against Idaho, senior Nia Alexander hit two free throws to lift Nevada to a 61-60 win at Lawlor Events Center.
The Pack improved to 2-3 and was scheduled to conclude its Nugget Classic event with a Sunday game against San Francisco. Idaho dropped to 1-4.
“I trusted my free throws when I stepped up to the line,” Alexander said in a news release. “I told myself ‘I got this’ and went up there with confidence.
