When Nevada beat UC Davis at Mackay Stadium in 2013, Brian Polian was given the old Gatorade bath.
Typically, you don’t celebrate a win over an FCS team in that fashion, but this one was different: It was Polian’s first win as a head coach. Come Thursday, Polian and the Wolf Pack take on UC Davis again, only this time in Year Three of the Polian Era rather than Year One. The program made a marked improvement from 2013 (a 4-8 record) to 2014 (a 7-6 record) and hopes to take the next step in 2015.
