When Wolf Pack diver Krysta Palmer headed to the NCAA Championships last year in Greensboro, N.C., she did so not knowing what to expect.
It was the first time Palmer, a Douglas High graduate, had qualified for the NCAAs and while she performed well, placing 10th on the 3-meter springboard and 24th on the platform to earn All-American honors, she also learned she’d have to hit an even higher mark for the ultimate prize: an NCAA medal.
“This year, my eyes are a little more open to what the level is going to be,” Palmer said via phone from Atlanta, which hosts this year’s NCAA Championships.
