For Megan Sweet, the talent was never in doubt. She’s always had that in spades.
But there were plenty of other questions.
Would Division I schools ever find her?
If they did, could Nevada fend off SEC schools to secure her commitment?
Would Sweet have the academic profile to even get into a four-year college?
These questions all swirled around her recruitment six years ago. But the talent? Never a doubt.
“Ever since we saw her on the field take ground balls we knew she was good, but when she stepped into the box and we saw her hit we were just amazed,” said Wolf Pack teammate Hannah Harger, who played travel ball and one year of high school with Sweet.
