It’s been 25 years since the Nevada basketball team opened the season with a schedule like this.
The Wolf Pack will play its first regular season game Friday against Coastal Carolina in the Outrigger Resorts Rainbow Classic in Honolulu. That will be the first of four straight non-home games for Nevada to open the season. The last time the program started the season with at least four games away from Lawlor Events Center came in 1990-91 when Nevada began the year with five straight non-home games, all of which ended in losses (the Wolf Pack eventually turned things around and finished the year 17-14).
