Big game, black Battle Born helmets for the Nevada football team.
The Wolf Pack debuted new lids during its practice Monday in anticipation of its game Saturday against in-state rival UNLV. The helmets are modeled after the Nevada state flag with elements of the state motto (Battle Born).
Wolf Pack coach Jay Norvell, who will make his debut in the rivalry game, had former Nevada head coach Chris Ault talk to his team prior to Monday’s practice and gave Ault the first helmet.
“We were really fortunate,” Norvell said of getting the new helmets. “We have some great people who really care about the program.
