D.J. Fenner and Marcus Marshall, the Wolf Pack’s two seniors, were roommates on the road this season.
They have different backstories at Nevada. Fenner committed to the Wolf Pack out of high school when David Carter coached the team and is the lone holdover from the Carter era. Marshall was the first commitment secured by Eric Musselman and was a transfer with only one year of eligibility in Reno.
Fenner is Nevada’s vocal leader, a guy unafraid to hold his teammates accountable or go to the coaching staff with an issue. Marshall is introspect, a silent assassin, a speak-softly-and-hit-a-big-shot kind of player.
