The Wolf Pack athletic department, which has fallen behind in the facility arms race over the years, will build a new multi-million dollar outdoor tennis facility that is expected to be completed for this season.
The last time Nevada completed a $1 million-plus facility improvement came in the spring of 2008 when it built the Marguerite Wattis Petersen Academic Center, a $7.5 million project. A $4.3 million softball complex also was built in 2007. Since then, Nevada has done minor projects to improve locker rooms and other items, but this is the Wolf Pack's largest facility development project in more than seven years.
