BOISE, Idaho – As the final minutes melted off the clock at the Taco Bell Arena on Wednesday night, Boise State fans, who showed up in record numbers for this No. 1 vs. No. 1 matchup, headed for the exit.
It started out as a trickle, then became a gush and by the time Nevada finished off Boise State, 76-57, in one of its most impressive showings of the season, the arena, which packed in a season-high 7,059 fans at the beginning of the game, was nearly empty. On this night, Nevada left no doubt who was king of the Mountain West.
