The Wolf Pack’s highly anticipated pre-game warmup routine before its home opener Wednesday night at Lawlor Events Center went so well the fans gave the team a standing ovation when it was completed.
“That’s the best thing of the night really, and that was also our best execution of the night,” Nevada coach Eric Musselman said about the Globetrotter-style warmup that got the crowd pumped.
While Nevada didn’t execute quite as well the rest of the night, it did execute well enough to snare another win, a hard-fought 76-73 victory over Portland State before 5,890 fans.
The game went back-and-forth, with Nevada twice grabbing eight-point leads before seeing those quickly evaporate.
