LARAMIE, Wyo. – Wolf Pack freshman Cameron Oliver, ejected with nearly 13 minutes left Nevada’s game at Wyoming for clapping, could do nothing but sit in the locker room and root for his teammates.
But it was OK. His teammates had his back. And as Oliver watched the closing minutes by himself on his phone, he couldn’t contain his joy as D.J. Fenner hit two big 3-pointers late to down the Cowboys.
“I wasn’t going to miss the game,” Oliver said with an ice pack on his forehead after Nevada pulled out a crazy 75-69 win Wednesday before 4,959 fans.
