Few college football teams have reached bowl games as frequently as Nevada over the last decade.
Winning bowl games? That’s a whole different story.
The Wolf Pack, which faces Colorado State in the Arizona Bowl at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in Tucson, has reached a bowl game in 10 of the last 11 seasons. But Nevada has lost three straight bowls, seven of its last eight bowl games and is 3-9 all-time in bowls since moving to the Division I level in 1992.
“I know the bowl record here at our school has not been great and we didn’t help matters last year,” said third-year head coach Brian Polian, who is 0-1 in bowl games at Nevada.
