SAN DIEGO – News and notes from the Wolf Pack’s 31-14 loss to San Diego State on Saturday night.
* The Wolf Pack pulled off a trick play in the first quarter when backup quarterback Hunter Fralick lined up in a shotgun on a 21-yard field-goal attempt. Nevada lined up in a swinging-gate formation and instead of kicking the field goal, Fralick raced in from 4 yards out for a touchdown on fourth-and-goal. It was the first career touchdown for Fralick, a freshman from Spanish Springs High in Sparks.
Wolf Pack coach Brian Polian said the fake field goal was put in about a month ago.
