News and notes from the Wolf Pack’s 37-34 overtime win over San Jose State on Saturday.
* The Wolf Pack held a moment of silence before the game and wore stickers on their helmets with the initials of ex-Nevada softball player Jayme King, who passed away in June after three bouts with cancer. After the game, coach Brian Polian gave the game ball to King’s family, who was on hand to honor her.
“We presented Jayme King’s family with the game ball in the locker room,” Polian said while fighting back tears, “and I’m happy that on the day she was remembered were able to win the game.
